My current OEM wipers are removable in 30 seconds.

The attachment mechanism on these blades is different. The instructions say: "Remove old blades. Install new blades." Brilliant!

I have spent an hour and can't figure out how to open the attachment mechanism.

In decades of replacing my own blades I haven't had this problem previously.

Can't find anything on the net. HELP!

Regarding A4's, these will only work if your vin is after 8E-4-138001; the split for the wiper arms that will accept these was in model year 2004. I bought B7 wiper arms so I could use decent wipers such as these, instead of having to use the horrible Audi wiper blades. These wipers went on very easily and fit great. After a winter of ice and snow we'll see how they live. For the price, they better be good.

I used these blades to replace the originals on my 2005 Audi A4 Quattro. They fit perfectly and only took 5 minutes to swap out. The design is certainly different than I'm used to but I see the logic behind it.

As far as wiping action - I find these blades to be more than sufficient. It hasn't started raining for real yet here but in limited usage these blades have performed well. I'll definitely look back to purchasing another set of these next year (I like to replace my blades each winter). Cheers!
