This drive is great! Bought this after my internal DVD writer died in my Sony laptop. It works great. Writes discs reliably and quickly. Faster at lightscribe than the internal drive in my home desktop. Only thing I wish is that it would have come with the retaining bracket. I had removed my old drive a few days before receiving this, and in my stupidity, had removed the bracket that holds the drive in....DOH! Otherwise, I love this drive.

This SONY drive works better than the original drive ever did! Just remove the rear mounting bracket from the old drive and install it on the new one, then carefully remove the bezel (just snaps apart) from the old drive and swap it for the one on the SONY drive! Perfect Fit!
